Portal Wallet, as the first dApp wallet in Nervos ecosystem, provides functions such as transferring CKB with Ethereum accounts, locking CKB into Nervos DAO, etc. Since its launch on the CKB mainnet, it has owned lots of support from users in Nervos ecosystem.

In the early stage of Nervos ecosystem development, in order to facilitate more users from Ethereum to Nervos, Portal Wallet has built-in a centralized swap of ETH/CKB and USDT/CKB, users can use the existing ETH and USDT in their Ethereum wallet to buy CKB directly.

Since the launch of the swap, we have exchanged 12.4 million CKBs and served nearly 300 users.

With the rapid development of Nervos ecosystem, the infrastructure continues to improve, and the Nervos team has released decentralized exchange frameworks like GliaSwap and GliaDEX recently, the DeFi era of Nervos is coming.

After serious consideration and discussions, we believe that the centralized swap in Portal Wallet has successfully completed its historical mission and that a secure and convenient decentralized exchange is the main direction for the future, so we will temporarily closing the swap function in Portal Wallet.

In the future, we will continue maintaining and improving other functions in Portal Wallet to bring users a better experience. We are looking forward to seeing you all in the near future with a new swap function, and hope you can continue supporting us.
